An aquaculture business with a reputation for excellent and delicious oysters on Orcas Island, WA, had fallen into disuse. Three locals—each very accomplished in their own right, but new to the oyster industry—decided to take over the business. The problem? How to reassure nervous buyers that they were serious and would be able to maintain the high quality.
The solution was to focus on the new owners’ dedication to and passion for the craft. The weathered and worn logotype captured a sense of long hours of hard work and the timeless currents of the cove. The blue color scheme reflects the surrounding elements. The result was a brand that quietly expresses dedication to craft, solidity, and authority: a company that can be relied on.
The brand is still in the process of being implemented, but the oysters are already selling out.
