Little Eaters

What to Do When Your Customer Never Tastes Your Food?

A Proper Lunch delivers healthy and organic meals to children in New York City daycares and preschools.

While they could see pictures of the food, parents never actually see their little ones eat and enjoy their meals. And neither the children nor busy teachers could be relied on to give consistent positive feedback to parents. How do you overcome a basic problem like that?

The solution

Letting the identity capture the moment parents couldn’t be there to experience turned out to be the best approach: A happy child eating delicious food.

Additionally, parents were pleased about receiving small notices about what and how much their child had eaten, weekly emails with the upcoming menu, information on sourcing, and pictures of ingredients.

The end result

The result was a brand that captures a happy kid — which is all parents really want. A Proper Lunch is spreading to other preschools and daycare centers in the city.
