In an age of increasing authoritarianism across multiple continents, Orwell’s novels are worth a second read. For this version of the book cover, the focus was on redaction and surveillance as aspects of authoritarian regimes. The title and author are so iconic that we decided to redact them, emphasizing the themes of authoritarianism and surveillance: a fresh take on a timeless book.
